Better late than certainly not?

Have you actually sat back and wondered concerning the corporate decisions created by the executives at Microsoft? Effectively, I certainly have. It certainly not ceases to amaze me how utterly clueless these individuals are. The blogosphere continues to be ablaze this week, using the news that Microsoft is entering the portable MP3 player market place. One pundit or another is claiming how the new Microsoft Zune will likely be the ultimate iPod killer. On the other hand, you will discover a quantity of us which have serious doubts about Microsoft's capacity to penetrate a marketplace which is currently saturated with their competitor's merchandise.

Nonetheless, a single can't guide but wonder why they've already waited this prolonged. Apple have been playing in this room for a long time now, as have dozens of other firms inside the consumer electronics marketplace. I can see the logic behind a wait-and-see approach, but this can be a sad situation of too tiny, as well late for Microsoft. Using the intellectual resources and operating capital that Microsoft possesses, I am continually astounded by their lack of initiative in particular marketplace spaces.

So why is really a business that's an obvious titan in their selected market, so afraid to take odds? Is Bill Gates so preoccupied with his philanthropic function that he has allowed his organization to drift off into the sea of irrelevance? When they're making moves, like their recent announcement in the upcoming Zune MP3 player, I seriously have to question what they have been accomplishing for that last 5 years.

I understand that Microsoft has an unlimited promoting spending budget, but do they honestly think that they've any possibility of penetrating the marketplace that Apple so certainly dominates? Maybe they've already formulated a novel approach to turn back again time, but in my humble opinion this might nicely be a complete waste of time.

For every one of the naysayers available, I'm mindful that the Zune project is comprised of a number of strategic initiatives for Microsoft. Yes, the MP3 player is but a person element of your larger corporate strategy in play the following. Honestly, I wish Microsoft the ideal of luck in these new endeavors. Hopefully, they will release a merchandise that will give Apple the motivation to produce their next-generation hand held gadget. Apple Berry, any person? In this market, competition drives innovation. Microsoft surely is competitive, but have they at any time been genuinely modern? Time will tell. Unless, obviously, Bill has determined a solution to turn back time. Now that will be modern! You heard it the following primary, children.
